And We Shame

A poem about something or some thing(s)

Your heart bleeds for liberation
While color schemes cause us chaos
Infection commands these demands
But these loans we can never pay off
And I'm left to bleed out
These wounds you couldn't cauterize
My hands that you cut off
Were never yours to realize
So where are you taking me
Are we there yet I scream
Could it be this neutral equality
That you so hypocritically dream
Perception performs perfectly
Every excuse that you need
And so every reason that you expect
Is the same treason you breed
