Unresponsive

A new chapter in my life, a new poem I wrote

In this search for your skin
I know I must soon let go
How can i touch your lips
When I can't see what you show
This smoke on the breeze
Is your whispering wind
And yet my eyes held in stasis
Are blind to your kin
No moments are open
Doors closed to my sin
And so I stay empty
Wishing for you to step in.

That said writer also was unaware of how much of an impact her writing they can have, and while I am so grateful that writing poetry has helped all of us, it truly does have more power to affect others in ways we may have never conceived. I can assure you I didn't go into your profile expecting to be moved or blown away, but I read one piece and immediately felt compelled to read another, and I just couldn't stop... It has been quite a while since I've been posting poetry but I've been happy lately and I usually only write when I am not lol this of course was written on a day when I wasn't.
