Time Travel

A Poem by LapseOfMind
"

Words trying to describe a feeling connected to a memory

"
The air held me sweet
As I allowed myself a
Reverie
A Crisp morning wanes
And i soak in the
Silence
So vivid the memory
That I let envelope
Me
That I lose sense of time
And let go of the present
Tense
A time traveller's travesty
Sent back in my
Mind
Clutching at something
Long past and
Dissolved
These outstretched fingers
Grasping at
Nothing
Let me know how I feel
Is a grown Childs
Lament

Awesome! Glad to hear that!
Beautiful words of longing. Good memories are to be treasured, wrapped in velvet and put in a safe place so they can be savored like a long cool drink on a sultry summer night. Thank you. Richie B.

He is drawn into the memories of his past. It seems he is yearning for something, perhaps someone that he wanted to change his past, though it's too late. It cannot be undone anymore.

Deja vu and nostalgia - they are powerful and fleeting abstract words and sensation. When I read this, it feels as though my mind is drifting into the stream of time. Thanks for sharing this! :) Awesome piece! :)

Oooh, what a gorgeous poem!! Some poetry I come across just draws me want to read them over and over - this has that effect for me. And we all have these moments, strange and sometimes heart wrenching memories, but essential for our sanity that we don't bury them and lose where have been, and who we have become because of them. Excellent writing!!!♥

I believe most of us do this. Seek things lost and can't be found. Thank you for sharing the outstanding poetry.
