A likeness to Macbeth

A likeness to Macbeth

A Poem by lapoesieducoeur

Alone I walk, dragging my feet,
the weight of a hundred worlds on my shoulders,
as I succumb to the utter madness
of the monsters inside my head.

Monsters of my past and present
I try to be strong, and to continue as normal,
but I can’t! I can’t continue living this lie;
I refuse to give in to the demands of these demons.

That is why I cut..
It isn’t because I want to die!
rather a way to survive,
a way to show I am stronger than my demons.

Scars will heal and fade with time,
its whats underneath that lasts forever,
like the blood on Macbeth’s hands,
I will never truly be rid of the mental scars.

I am an anonymous poet, writing my poetry as a means of dealing with the monsters in my head. Yes I have suffered and still am, but with my writings I might just get better. more..
