This is me

This is me

A Poem by Lanke Doll

I look in the mirror.

See no trace of me,

I see what you wnat me to be.

I am gone. Never to return.

Now I am just another clone,

another image in this world.

No hope,

No love,

No loss.

I am not me, not who I want to see.

Just who you want me to be.

Just some one you made.

You made me to be.

I reprresent all teh other girls in this world.

The ones who are scared to take a stand.

The ones who are scared to take a chance,

The ones who are scared to make a change.

I shed my skin.

Come out of thiss cacoon,

the shell you put me in.

I see my reflection,

this, this person is me.

Who I love,. I am the only one like me.

I am hope,

I am love,

I am life,

I am me and more.

I absolutely love this poem. It screams the agony of a world conforming to what people want you to be. The end was an amazing touch, and it showed someone learning to love themselves.

Thanks for posting :)

Lanke Doll,

This could quite possibly be a song.

There are only a few grammerical errors and a few little fixes, I honestly think this could be a song.

Please continue to practice your writing, it is a wonderful outlit, and you have a knack.

Have a great day,

Legacy
