To be a child

To be a child

A Poem by Elaine

You know what Iove

to dance in the rain

the roar of the thunder

drwons out my pain

You know what I love

to swing in the park

count to three...Jump!

 I fly in the dark

You know what I love

to lay under the clouds

looking for pictures

my imagery proud

You know what I love

to rock out with friends

fun everlasting

the message it sends

You know what I love

falling into the sky

it's a freedom of which

people should try

why so serious

be a bit wild

if only to be

again a child.

The poem is amazing. That would be the skill to hold on to. To hold on to the energy and hope of a child. Poem is beautiful. I like the wisdom in your words. A happy person can see the good in everyday of life. A outstanding poem.

I thought the rhyme in the 3rd and 4th stanzas seemed a bit forced.

and in the 5th... "It's a freedom of which
People should try"

If I'm right, that's wrong grammar.
The word OF sounds wrong there.

otherwise, the beginning made me smile so much! Absolutely loved the carefree feel to it.

a little polishing and it will be really good.
adding this one to my favorites. it was too unique to read just once.
:) keep writing!
