Painting

Painting

A Poem by Elaine

I want to paint a butterfly

filling in its wings

i want to paint a humming bird

to see its color sing,

I want to fill the world

with color all my own

just painting everything

with colors not yet known

I want to paint the sky

with hues of purple blue

and add a little passion

by using yellow too

With a paintbrush in my hand

I leave my mark behind

the world is black and white

until I fill in the lines.

The very last line has to be read in a certain way or else you don't hear the flow i was going for.

no worries about the flow because again tis amazing! The imagery is perfect and i love how you made yellow turn into passion. my favorite stanza is by far the last ones because people see only black and white at times

The metaphors in this piece are beautiful and creative, you have a mind filled with stunning fantasies and colors, I like this piece.

The last line flowed quite well as long as you catch the rhythm. I love the flow throughout your piece, it was short and sweet. Great imagery, painted a picture with every word. Keep writing.
