Butterfly Kisses

When I close my eyes

I dream of beautiful things

Like the kisses of a butterfly

Or the light of angel’s wings,

 

I dream of far off places

Where I wish I could go

Until the future comes

If I can I’ll never know,

 

The darkness in my mind

Causes nightmares in place of dreams

The messages in my mind

Are more unclear then what they seem,

 

No matter how far I have to go

Or how many steps I must take

My dreams will take me somewhere

I’ll try my hardest not to break
