Dying Roses

Dying Roses

A Poem by Kayla

The rose petals fall,

As time withers them away.

They drift to the ground,

Being left to decay.

Lonely and sad,

Beautiful but cursed.

As days pass,

They are forgotten.

Never to be beautiful,

Never to return to their former glory.

The roses die,

For time could never heal them.

Wow. This is a powerful story of beauty lost. Nice job here.

Beautiful and expressive, your words bring about such a feeling of sadness for what time can do to all things of outward beauty... and to anyone who is neglected and left alone. Wonderful write and profound message!

I love this poem. It's short but it has amazing detail and flow. When I say detail I also mean description. My favorite lines were the first four

The rose petals fall,
As time withers them away
They drift to the ground,
Being left to decay.

That was some amazing description there my friend. In your note you said there is a hidden message. I don't seem to see it so if you could fill me in on that it wold be great.
Great read,
