Pass Away

Pass Away

A Poem by Sidewalk Observer

Are you out there, past the moon?

Could I find you sometime soon?

I would wander - ride to you,

on the wave - this soft sung tune.

Where was I when you came?

Would I have just remained the same?

Would you wait?

Would you call?

Would you ponder

How I’d fall?

Would you care?

Would you stay?

Do I dare

chance to pray?

I’m coming home,

I’m coming home,

Now with my absence

I’m free to roam.

I’m coming home,

I’m coming home.

I’ve left the Earth,

I’m coming home.

Bridge the gap,

holding back.

Send your angels,

fix the crack.

I’m falling in,

I’m falling for,

I’m falling back

within the floor.

Had the world given in,

had we all admitted sin,

would you save me?

Would you be?

My saving grace

of this ending race.

Sanctified.
