Cold Blue Light

Cold Blue Light

A Poem by Atrus De Vane
"

It's curious to me how one can be so selfish.

"

She’s a false reality, invisible
to the eyes of a guiltless existence.
Screeching from silent keystrokes,
she pulsates in sinful frequencies
toward his loving glassware life.

And yet, he craves her.
Craves the destruction.
Singing, sweeping through
the drenching sweat and provisions
and his heavy, lying, calloused hands.
With her adrenaline-soaked,
pupil-dilating voice,
she kills as she calls
his  contrived, clever little name.

She is
his exciting execution,
kept concealed in a small morning hour
and locked away with a key of careful
barefoot secrecy.

Adultery happens
In cold blue light.

You have some extremely strong images... and I have to say a very unique way to broach the subject. This is a nice bit of contempory verse.

This is an interesting piece and a very interesting view of adultery. Is it the forbidden that makes it so tempting and therefore happening with more frequency? With the intervention of internet and being able to chat with just a few strokes.. an emotional connection happens.. then what of reality?

Perspective ink!
