The Sheath

The Sheath

A Poem by Lanaia Lee
"

from Of Atlantis

"

From the five volume series Of Atlantis, book five, Labarynth into Oblivion

In my very long life, I have seen and done many things
All kinds of weapons at my disposal that helped me during the journey of life along the way
But one of these items, was solely for protection, to it I should have always clinged
An alluring woman changed all that, as from my protection, she would cause me to stray.

A very famous woman, the daughter of ancient Egypt, one that had such a way with me
Cleopatra, daughter of Isis, she saw my protection, and by it she was really impressed
It was called the sheath of unity and affirmations, Orion technology, that could only be used by me
But I could not explain, this magic to her, to being half Orion, to this secret, to her I never confessed.

The sheath or some may call it a shield, could only be used by an Orion hand
In the identity of Mark Antony, on land the shield helped me win almost every battle, that I had to fight
Cleopatra was a queen, so I had to listen and obey her every command
She thought the sheath should be shared with all, with everyone through out the land.

So we put it on display, inside Alexandria, in the library, at this time it was here
People would come to see the triangle shape shield, and they were in awe, when told of the power it possessed
But the mystery surrounding it, was that it could only be used by me, to everyone that asked, this was made very clear.
The whole country was in awe, it was like with the sheath and it's story they became obsessed.

That was long ago, before the library was burnt to the ground and finally came to rest within the sea
The sheath could not be destroyed, so I suspect, it lies in a watery grave within the Mediterranean sea
I must retrieve the sheath for the chosen, to protect her against the dark forces, she will face, the final battle, it was meant to be
I can now raise the legions of Atlantis, to help the chosen with her destiny, for her protection the sheath is the only key.

The chosen, touched and ordained by the goddess, Cheyenne, herself, the chosen, what she must do, was foretold eons ago
I will retrieve the sheath, giving it to her, so she may protect herself fully from the evil and darkness, she must bravely face
She, removing the thing that plagues everyone, even those that have no idea or they don't know
I know where it lies, I will retrieve it for the chosen, so all evil from this old world she can safely erase.

This is very good. The only thing I would change is the formatting...however your imagery far surpasses the need for visual formatting. Very well done.
