Forever Led

Forever Led

Each night, I do the exact same thing, trapped, I have no choice in what I must do
Something happened to me long ago, something that would change my life forever and a day
Living a normal life, never more, my choices in this matter are very few
I feel as if I am chained to a life, one from which I will never get away.

Only being able to go out at night, I miss the light of day shining on my face
For eons, I have been destined to roam, never being to get away
Something I am forced to crave and search for in my mouth I always crave the taste
I have to have the this, another's life force, the blood, destined to search for this forever and a day.

I sleep during the day, but at night, others beware, take heed, and for me others must watch out
Never meaning others harm, I can;t help myself, this ungodly thirst, this thing I must quench
People know I exist and they know what I do, in this there are no doubts
Be aware of me! I will only bring death, her sting and her stench.

Once I held respect in the eyes of other, now all they see in me is a plague upon this old planet
I used to hold a position, that when some one saw me, they would bow to me in reverance and respect
Seems what I am now, in stone it is set
But now I am doomed, people fear me, because I am a member of a certain sect.

I roam this earth, not happy with what I am and what I must do
Long ago, the bite of a bat, would forever change my life and the path I was forced to take
I long for human companionship, but in this lonliness, my choices are very few
So, everyone beware, take heed for your own sake.

Destined to forever roam, in search of the life force I so desperately need
This force within my damned soul, makes me forever search, for the thing I so desperately need
The blood, long ago for this was planted that diabolical seed
I try to resist, but in the end I must feed.

So, everyone, if you see me, turn away, go the other way
I;m alive, but yet, I am a member of the undead
From this ungodly existence, from this I can never stray
A bat caused my misfortune, down a path of damnation, I am forever led.
