The CryptA Poem by Lanaia LeeBone chilling horror, no blood and gore
I awaken in a place I am unfamiliar with, so I get up and stumble around
I know I am outside, it is night trying to see things by the dim light of the moon
Still not recognizing anything, I am very aware I am on unfamiliar ground
Praying and hoping I will figure out where I am very soon.
The stillness of this place fills my very being with intense unbridled fear
No wind blows, no rustling of the leaves, no movement at all, silent, just like a mime
Silence surrounds me, there is not one sound that I hear
The silence is deafening, engulfing silence, I bet I could hear the breathing of a silent mime.
Then in the back ground, the silence is broken by the loan wale of what sounds like dog
After hearing this I am aware of the other creatures of the night as sing
Soon I am aware of something creeping all around me, to my relief, it is only fog
I am so afraid, I wonder to myself what the creeping fog, may bring.
I don't want to be in this place, whereever it may be
I need to find a way to escape to the place where I was before
If I could figure way out of here, then I would know how to flee
This thought just. escapes me, gosh of this I want no more.
My eyes start adjusting to the blackness that totally surrounds me
I think I see tomb stones, crypts, and things
Why on earth did I wake up here? This terrible thing just can't be!
I want out! To this hideous place, I do not wish to cling.
My eyes fully adjusted, I don't like what is becoming so very clear to me
I see I'm in a grave yard, there are gravestones and crypts all around
The as I try to walk, I'm drawn to one particular crypt, it's like it's pulling me to it, it's impossible to flee
The crypt I see my name, now I know why, I am dead, so silent I can hear the supernatural sound of my heart as it pounds.
