You and I

You and I

A Poem by nadja

Carefully push up the pain
Shh!  We laugh,
Carefully, quietly, get out fast.
You took my hand and ran
With me, hearts racing
We know its wrong
Around the block,
Cookie-cutter houses fly by
You and I
Escaping it all.
Fiery disappointment
cuts through silence -
It was too good
To be true,
Too real to exist
In my waking nightmare.

About
Asking me what I'm like, who I am, can't simply be answered with a few sentences or adjectives. I don't know who I am; I know only what I've been, what I do. I know that I enjoy writing, mainly poet.. more..
