A DrinkA Poem by LanaScented body flittering in the gin I take in, I take in the mint I used to swim into oceans of distilled water And wonder why I felt so thin I want to chew on liquor And dance until my heart flickers I am nothing but a bartender Attending the joys of winter Basking in the sun of flowers I believe life has always supposed to weather The storm, whenever it came close to cancer I am a scented body joy flittering in the thunder I take in, I take in the sins Where life is nothing but a dream And it should be nothing but a thinned out gin Clinking the glass at last as I sat while listening to jazz Alone but a drinker A liver perduring in the shades of autumn liquor No mocktails A drinker at last
