Paradise Lost

Paradise Lost

A Poem by Lana

I don't need a God
I have a mirror
And when I see my glazed eyes
I see something to nurture
I am not born
Out of love or evil
I was meant to fulfill
A destiny beyond my own reach
I don't have to believe
I just have to live
And feed the creatures
Who long to be free
Leading a flock of sheep
To their detriment
They don't walk towards peace
They walk to die with sin
And we eat them for a feist
Then we tell ourselves, my God
I believe in you with all my heart
And I need you to lead me to paradise
It is paradise lost!
Paradise is lost
