The heart

The heart

A Story by Lana

The people I condemn are who I am
I walk past people on the streets
And I see mirrors reflecting back at me
When I see anger I am in the heart of it
The heart of me
It is a rubber band that hasn't stretched
I feel the love of the world in my veins
Thankful that I sit on a bench
Peacefully watching people go by on the streets
The people I condemn are who I am
Their rubber band have been stretched
The heart of them
Is the heart of a theme
That has been played like a song
Gospel as old as time
And as ugly as human kind
We go around in circles like clowns
Living in a circus of pain
Managing to live but in vain
Only in vain
