Chapter 1A Chapter by lambentLarcenist
Focus is fun. Focus is fun.
Who am I trying to kid; trying to focus on world history is like only being able to speak with one word for every meaning. Actually, that would be incredibly boring. Worlld history may just be more entertaining than that, I mean a lot of s**t's gone down on our planet. Wars, plagues, poorly placed religion, countless events that I apparently need to know for my survival as a part of the human race. Yet to hear someone drone on and on about it for an hour, gives me true physical pain. I can feel my pulse from under my skin; hear it in my ears. The clock says 1:43 but the mind says half past asleep. To think, they've never changed that clock once in the whole three years I've been here. Talk about poor maintenance, I don't know how schools get by. This particular clock annoys me the worst as it's never the time I think it is. It's that one clock that always manages to wake you up way too early or way too late, there is no in between with these guys. God, world history is boring. Otherwise distracting me from what should be a valuable class, a note slides onto my desk. Again. Beautiful landing. I reach to open it- wait. Should I though? Last time I made her wait it wasn't long before she rang the school. Then again, the lecture afterwards wouldn't be worth a million of Mrs. Garris' faces when she pulled me out. Might as well see what she has planned for me today. I open the note slowly, teasing her. Making she it's visible through the window, I catch a glimpse of her watching impatiently. As if she has anywhere wild to be! Maybe I could make her wait a little longer, she'd probably sit there all day since it's so close to release time. Meh, that's a game for another afternoon, not such a holiday as this. I dangle the piece of paper in front of my face and make sure she's watching while I read the catscratch. "Hey dipshit, today's important council shall be held five steps away from the usual meeting place. Be there by four. " Eh, might as well I slip her a wink as the bell rings to let her know that I'll be there. I get up to put away my things and look out the window once more. She's gone. Crazy b***h.
