How Beautiful You Were TonightA Poem by LlamaLord-
My gaze dances from the window to her bright blue eyes
For she is the only thing on my mind worth describing tonight The light from a projector shines and a movie grabs her attention But I pray that one day I'll be the one in that position Because right now millions of different feelings surpass my minds capacity And the only thing that can save me is if you share the same feelings as me So let me treat you to a good time, while inside, our hearts combine They flow together like the raindrops in a storm, but made of something much more divine Not even the sun, the moon, and the stars can be more perfectly align When my arm reaches across your shoulders to find not only a hand held in mine, but also an angel in my arms held tight She's so beautiful. The bright light exits and turns to solid black with white credits Rolling on forever and ever. At least I planned on it. Tomorrow will never come and the evening will never end. Unless your beauty happens to escape my head in this perfect world we're in. Leave us alone and don't let reality seep through. Every second of every day I realize I want to spend with you. Lord, she's helped me find decency again. She's helped me find love in this messed up world I'm in. And, Lord, she makes me the happiest I've ever been In all honestly, I never want this feeling to end. They say love is everlasting and feelings are ongoing but my racing heart has taken off and will never stop running Four hours later you are still the only thing I'm thinking of. At twelve nineteen on school night, all I can dream about is your love. And even more dreaming tomorrow morning when I can't stay awake And my teacher is yelling at me to stop going to bed late. They must not have realized how beautiful you were tonight. This night, I held your body close to mine and on this night, I remembered what it's like to love another person and say it in a rhyme. © 2010 LlamaLordAuthor's Note
