Love From The Lord

Why is it that every time I ask for love, my Lord gives me love? Why is it that every single time I ask for help, my Lord gives me strength? Why is it that every time love hits me over the head with a shovel, my merciful Lord leads me right back to it? Why is that I get the chance to love such a beauty, but at the same time, get to live such a sin? However, life is nothing but a gift.

Now, throughout these short years, I have found love to be the key to anything and everything. To find the meaning of love, you must realize what love is.  You must feel the presence of a lover while truly grasping the lover’s heart. Love is the continuous affection for another. How are we supposed to feel so strongly for someone for such a long time?

When you are given everything, love, care, and so much more, from anyone, what are you supposed to do?  Our Lord gives us the answer through a text.

“Greater love has no one than this, that he lay down his life for his friends.”  - Jesus Christ

Of course, this seems like such a harsh command. But truly, this is again, a gift. An opportunity to live in the one place called perfection with the one we call perfect, our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Now, seeing as we all live this way, why not give our best shot and love our Savior with everything he has given us? Are you willing to lay down your life for the Lord my friends?

I adore this. I love how you show in such amazing words how much god loves us and even though we don't deserve it sometimes, He is always there to give us grace, fer sure.
It kind of reminds me of when people want to be selfless and be totally loving to others but when their asked of too much giving, Etc , It's like people cave in, not wanting to give everything up.
Jesus Christ, being perfect in everything he is, Gave up everything for us.
So why is it so hard for us to do the same?

there is so much to learn about selfless love from this poem of yours.
I lose my patience when I feel trapped in always giving and there is no end to it...
but i am sure if I entrust God with my problems, HE will guide me towards light and help me be strong....
