Over You, OvernightA Poem by LlamaLordA poem about the love of my life and how she never fails to find the best in me. Wrote this right before bed on a rainy, not so rainy night. Thankful for her love and support, always!
The night grows in length as my feelings for you grow in size.
The rain has just stopped outside and I find myself asking why? Did you make it stop raining so I could come see you? Was the place under your covers cold? Just how often do you think about me too? When I close my eyes at night, I see a future with you and I. Hold my hand and kiss my lips. Visions of you are so clear tonight. I’ve never liked the idea of growing old, but I’d love to do it with you. Your eyes sparkle while my heart sheds a tear. Look at what love can do. You’ve changed my life time and time again. Magical it seems. Let me take care of you, hold you. Show you all these new things. I’ve found out how to love, and how to be loved this year. You make feel so special. Your words are my favorite to hear. My feelings for you outline the fabric of my dreams. Creating love, passion, joy. You’ve showed me such beautiful things. You accepted me when soul was left in the streets. How can this be? Shes the girl of my dreams and the keeper of my soul, my destiny. The rain has started again. Heaven wants you back sweetie. They are missing an angel, but angels are just messengers. You’re the shining star in my night sky. This something I haven’t felt before. You’ve changed me into a bright butterfly, but never as bright as you. You radiate with positivity. You glow just like the moon. Your voice. Your smile. Your bright blue eyes. You never looked as beautiful as you do tonight. I’m going to fall asleep with the thought of you on my mind. I didn’t get to see you, and I want to know why. You and I were meant to be together, forever, for life. I’m falling head over heals, over you, overnight. © 2021 LlamaLordAuthor's Note
