I WatchedA Poem by Tai RyensI watched the sunlight In your eyes just vanish. I watched pain take over And your eyes fill with anguish. I watched you beg for help, Laughed painfully as you grew alone. I watched as darkness consumed you; Wept as the demons took control. I watched as the roses disappeared, Replaced by emptiness. I watched the robbers run, With a bag filled with your bliss. I watched you refuse help; Resort to self harm and self hatred. I watched you admit repeatedly: " I'm not going to make it. " I watched your death happen, how you smiled before you died. I watched as you ignored I, The only voice that gave you strength inside.
