Insipidity

Insipidity

A Poem by Tai Ryens

The white noise
of the world
bristles
in my thoughts.

Silence screams.

Static screams
back.

Winter feels too warm,
yet my bones shiver
in the breath of snow.

So, too, does my heart,
with every breath,
alone.

Silence screams,
my lips sing along.

Static screams
just the same song.

What used to be
the unbearable sound
of gloom screeching
in my ears
is now nothing
but a mimsy
walk in the park.

Your poem certainly doesn't follow suit to the title Tai....anything but flavorless. My bones shivered when I read that line too, and I am in love with that last stanza, adore the word mimsy...and walk in the park, killer! Keep breathing and writing poetry...those sounds always add up.
