Hourglass Oasis

Hourglass Oasis

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

Not sure about this. Not my usual style.

"

The malicious oasis awaits

within the Sahara,

distant mirages fueled by hope,

inviting as heaven.

I indulged in scalding sands,

the pebbles dripping down

my throat like an hourglass,

and I felt the weight.

Ecstasy crawled down my tongue,

dusty water churning my stomach

as I felt the heat of desert

no more.

This is a piece that I would never get tired on reading again and again. I mean, it was really meaningful despite it's length.

That's the point though, to always be consistent (:

Thank you, as this was one of my less macabre ones.
