Docked

Docked

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

I long for the cradle of sea . . .

"

I long for the cradle of sea;

the bitter, sweet, salty taste of her tongue

mumbling, tormenting me with lullabies.

``Dock your vessel for an evening!
Join us for a night of rum,

and we shall set out once again at dawn!``

said the pantaloons, and so I did.

Free from the weight of the ocean,

yet I still awaited the hour

I would explore her again.

This made me think of Jack Sparrow. "Why is the rum gone?!"
Great write. I love the part about the sea singing lullabies. That's exactly how it is. She sings you to sleep in an age old language that only she could possibly know.
Nice. ^^
