Razor-Edged Butterflies

Razor-Edged Butterflies

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

Then, and only then, will you know how I suffered.

"

Slash open my innards,

fearless sociopath,

gash open my stomach,

heartless stranger,

and let loose

an armada

of razor-edged monarchs

that shred piece by piece,

as they did my intestines.

Then, and only then

will you know how

I suffered in silence;

the method of how

my heart fell

into the darkness's glint.

No problem! ^^
: Oh my, it's beautifully written :O
Somehow, I feel some sado-maso stuff going on here haha! Where the sadism of those razor-edged butterflies is inflicting the sweetest pain in your stomach and the masochism side of yours is enjoying it..
Quite paradoxical in a way too if I can say.. A feel of unrequited love, a one-sided infatuation..all unveiled through your piercing words. Awesome.

And that would be love for you. A pain that you pity and enjoy.
butterflies in the stomach, like people who get nervous, antsy, jealous. letting loose the pain and unease of one's problems. misery loves company, eh? great metaphor, very graphic, almost beautiful, in that dark way. great write :)

Kinda beautiful in an odd way. The thought of the butterflies mixed with the intestines... I don't know. Seems almost... beautiful. Nice.
