Remnants

Remnants

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

All dispensable, and replaced within the month.

"

        Fresh bruises caress my skin,

                 rusty gashes cake my veins,

yet all dispensable

       and replaced within the month.

How, then,

must the remnants

of both scars &' scarlet

                      lead to a

                           broken heart . . .

Like always, I love love love style in poetry. I think that here, the style of your lines makes your poem even more beautiful. Your imagery is fabulous, I especially love the line with 'rusty gashes.' A very small and yet very deep poem. I like it very much.

Because some run deeper than skin and veins. Lovely little piece, Tai.
