World of NothingA Poem by Tai RyensLeft with nothing, in a world of nothing . . .Such emptiness formulates about this barren wasteland of a home, of which magnifies the hollow screams of idealists whispering in my ears, imagine, what insanity awaits beyond this desolate library!, for I know not whether other voices influence this silence
How much longer, I ask, how much longer am I able to withstand the claim of foreigners?, armies squabbling over my favor, all of whom aim to plunder the wealth I posses, and to forsake me as no more than a scavenger mounting his pile of filth
To be robbed of the one only lasting of my lifetime!, bid farewell to the will I once had, for I've gone mad; left with nothing, in a world of nothing © 2012 Tai RyensAuthor's Note
