Star-Crossed Lovers

Star-Crossed Lovers

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

Forbidden love . . .

"

Flattered do I lay beneath a blanket of stars

who confess whispers from dimensions beyond,

exchanging adulating gazes from afar

until we wonder where we both have gone

oh, the things I'd do for your chin to caress

instead of they whom are one heart shy,

formulating your style in a faultless dress

coupled with sparkling gems as your eyes

too many times have I forgotten

that you are too far out of reach

as I extended an arm brushed by sin

whilst my lips, for you, beseech

and far too many times have I wished to caress a star,

yet I haven't a clue who, much less where you are

i like the rhythm and rhyme in this. it feels softer than some of your other stuff but it was perfect for this. another excellent poem man.

I realized I haven't written in this style for quite awhile as well, thanks for reviewing.
I can't help but read this over, and over, and over again.

I immediately loved your dark, moody style but I have to say this is quite a nice change of pace. Well done.
