A Dedication

A Dedication

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

R.i.p.

"

Beautiful nightmares of you

still envision themselves

behind the eyes of

an insomniac,

and I know so

because I am the

shredded heart within

him

My lovely Olive,

how is it that

a lifestyle glistens

from your wrists,

but no longer

your eyes?

Alike to the pleas

of your heart

that fail

to voice themselves

Far too often

I have swayed

to the haunting

croon of your voice,

as your fingers

reached from

beyond

the heavens

and caressed

my withered cheek

Author's Note

Tai Ryens
So often do I wish that I personally knew you, and that I could at least be one of the many who tried to delay your departure. How lame, I know, writing to somebody I would never know nor will ever meet, but I just felt that I needed to dedicate a bit of my time for her whom has touched my heart with her story. Hopefully, you've a beautiful meadow in paradise, or perhaps reincarnated into a far happier life.
