Strangled

Strangled

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

When all we ever were alike to was a cage and a bird . . .

"

Hollowed by you do I walk with shame

amidst the population of this heaven so bright

without a scapegoat save for myself to blame

for engaging love with a parasite

so misunderstood were both our worlds

struggling inside a corpse unwilling to be saved

when all it ever was was a tortured young girl

imprisoned within a sorrowed man's ribcage

This is sick. Dark and moody with a touch of deep intimacy. One of my favorites from you. Really nice, Tai!
