Relinquished

Relinquished

A Poem by Tai Ryens
"

Would you do the honor?

"

Treachery inflicted upon my

battered body; volatile merriment

leaving impetuous as it appeared.

Distrustful eyes scrutinize every tiny

movement of my exhausted

ligaments; shattered fragments of

broken speech tied onto the leather

whipping my bloodied back all

the torturing trail to the gallows.

Did you not recently abash my

muddled heart by puncturing

the center with Cupid's arrow?

{I can hear your cackles beneath

your heel; devastated by

the one human I so lovingly adore:

how in devils' name do you have

me wrapped 'round your thumb;

begging you to demoralize me more?}

Woe to me, woe to me;

if I shall watch you step out

our relationship, my life;

would you do the honor of

ending it?

Not sure of the ending. May cut that out soon.

The many ways of painful infliction of the body, the pain that has been put on you is strong. I agree that you could work on the ending, it has a good meaning in it, maybe you could rewrite or reword it?

deeply and darkly expresses the pain of heart brake. Every time I read on of your poems it amazes me that you write so elegantly and your a few years younger than I! You never cease to impress
God Bless

This is such an agonizing piece but was well written... I also liked how it didn't end bitter, but sort of sweet and forgiving in a way.
