In nutshell, legend or layman

You can live as a layman or legend, choice is yours

Ate, paid the bills, cooked and cleaned

Worked, slept, worked again

Graciously aged, went to bed for sleep permanent

Left the mark on grave as lay man

Helped some one, sobbed with some one

Did not leave some one, even in darkest moments

World said inside, he or she is strong man

Yes, I will call her or him, a legend

what we have been, are and will be is certainly about the choices we make .. and no matter the background ..we choose and are responsible .. i like the day in day out quality of your poem .. reminds me of my dad (i will call him a legend) he never complained, got up every day and went to work, highly unlikely he ever was unfaithful to my mom, drank a beer or two too many from time to time always paid the bills; taught us to fear God and care about those around us ... i am pretty lucky .. thanks for sharing this poem ..

Thank you very much for the review, well said, sometimes long for the more structured, and preservative style literally a lot, the active life style is ok as far as individual is not consumed by his or her surroundings, the superlative form of all these, your life or tree house is on fire, you escaped using a tree branch, hanging on top of fire, saw a wild flower on the bottom of the tree, simply looking at the flower, smiling, thinking havooo, thank you lord i am alive, I can write a poem in my mind about the beauty of the flower, can you tell me which category those type of life will be called, I may call them noble life, or can not give a name, as the life is leading you, not you any more leading life, just simply walking where God leads someone, take care, and glad you lied the writing

In today's world, the rat race impedes us from taking time out from the tides and currents and make our way to the shore, sit down and quietly reflect. Societal demands prevent us from claiming our own destinies so we simply must make the effort to do that.
