“When she awoke, the world was on fire.”
― Scott Westerfeld, Uglies
Meggie grunted in pain when the feeling of the torn wing reached her. They started to lose altitude far more rapidly. She pressed her palms onto Hirador's claws, and, by some unknown instinct, a screamed word forced itself past her lips. "HEAL!"
Hirador felt the skin of his wing stretching, molding, reattaching, healing. He shivered slightly, because his wingskin was literally crawling. The dragon's wings caught the wind almost too late. His legs brushed the trees. They began to rise again, soaring on the updrafts. As soon as they were clear again, a lone arrow flew at them. Hirador swerved to the side , tucking his legs and wings in and hurtling toward the ground. Meggie felt Hirador's mind pushing into hers, and then her limbs started to move, seemingly of their own accord. She whispered, "Fiendfire," and fire began to grow out of the hand extended, her right. A flame began to grow. When it was established that, yes, fire had just appeared out of nowhere, and yes, it was too close to Meggie for her liking, It shot out it a single, fairly large, bullet of fire. She was now hyper-aware of where the fire was. She felt it when it struck a flesh and blood body, and then it and the archer just... vanished. After the fire faded, Meggie felt the exhaustion sink in. She slumped in Hirador's grip, and her vision blurred. She closed her eyes, and promptly fainted.
Ok I dont mind this chapter but I got a bit confused at the part when you were talking about the creature. Did she see it? What did it look like?

A shadow. It shot a bow at her and Hirador so she was making assumptions. The dragon draws on the tamer's powers, so it hints at Meggie's powers.
with the egg in the forest, telepathy, vision sharing, attacking from the air, and shooting fire out of your hands. you are a good writer but writers dont plagerize

Do you know how many people said the Cycle sounded like that trilogy? It's not plagerization, it's drawing inspiration. Christopher Paolini got his inspiration from authors before him. Paolini's books evolved, and so will mine.

Drawing inspiration would be like having the the same concept, but not same jobs (Dragon riders: Dragon Tamers), same events (Attacks from the air) (Egg in the forest with a flash of life), powers (Telepathy and vision sharing) (Shooting fire out of the hands). That is plagiarism.

Many people have similar ideas to those already published, and do not publish them. Leave her alone. You seem to have quite a problem with a person you don't know. If this bugs you, go find someone else to annoy rather then this "writer" as you said earlier. Thanks :)
I'm Wingless Fallen Angel, obviously. Call me WFA, Wingless, Fallen, Angel, or any combination of the above! I love to write and read and not do arithmetic. I'm open to talk to you, about whatever. Me.. more..
