i woke up one day & decided this wasn't good enough for me. i could always do better, so i struggle for a better day, and i know it's a-comin' because i've been praying. these long conversations with God are the only thing keeping me sane. for now, i'm incomplete, been walkin' this town aimlessly for days on end. they say i'm a certified life ruiner, and i hate to say it but i'm starting to believe them. always straving for more, and that ain't gonna change. a brighter day's ahead of me and it's always on it's way; i think we're on to something.
I enjoyed it. Now im no poet, just a storyteller, I write for fun. I didnt take poetry class or know the protocols, but i can tell you that the image this poem gave me was about a woman who made a bad decision with a married man and is praying that someday everyone will forget what happened and that is when her days will be brighter.
I really liked this poem! I thought the poem was easy to relate to from my own life, which I think is an awesome but difficult thing for a writer to do. Great job!
