I Can't Lose You

I Can't Lose You

A Poem by Jillisa Carrion
"

what would you do if you were about to let an opportunity pass you by?

"

Our clothes retching across the bed

We writhe and shutter like serpents on the floor

With nothing to hold but each other

The mastery of such a skill amazes me

We learn and teach

I come to you with a hope of a future

You came to me for a hope of a new life

I can’t lose you "not for an instant

The plane about to take off"and all I can do is run towards my future

If only for this second I could convince you to stay

Stay where you are if only for a moment longer

O’ what should a fool do when all I’ve done is hold back?

If I could relive every second of my being with you only to gain it back ten fold

If only I could tell you that I loved you

Catching a glimpse of you

“All I can do is run to my future"that is you

All I have in my hand is my heart and I’m handing it over to you

All I want to do is have ALL of you just to tell you the words I’ve evaded for so long but can’t any longer

I can’t lose you "I was and am in love with you”
