THIS HURTING WORLD

THIS HURTING WORLD

A Poem by songbirdwriting
"

nothing upsets me more than seeing what's going on in the world today, but it's so far from simple to fix

"

worthless, wordless
expressions of savagery
unnecessary violent satisfaction
satisfactory unnecessary violence

what kind of end
is in sight?

broken bones
are inconvenient
for building homes
walls of security
for erecting pillars
of civility
of freedom

I so wish that we could
build the palaces
with unbroken bodies
and coronate peace

you have a unique style. you write with passion and power, yet beautifully despite the subject. our fallen world is sad and you captured it so well. i can feel your angst. good job.

seemed more like a treasure you giving to the pie of this world as this world's already lost humanity; being forsaken. everyone wants peace across the world, but hardly the true's being found in the name of gist of heart... and that's real savagery of life -- the haunting as well as hurting world... cos in the wake of love, the only thing you get is "hurt". kinda very heartfelt poetry it is.

Well, that's the sad, yet bitter truth of the world we live in. People killing each other in the name of religion, race and country. Even in this chaos, there are people who are doing their best to fix this issue. Conflicts will always arise, it's in the nature of humans to fight. What we can do is make this world a better place for the people who are the victims of these conflicts.
