Rain Giver

Rain Giver

A Poem by Written in the words of trees

When I was young
My heart was full of sorrow
I would cry endless rivers
Until the day he came to me
He was the Rain giver
He was washed my sorrows
And filled me with love

Rain giver wash my sorrows
Fill me with your love instead
Let me be happy for a while
Never let sorrow come again

We were lovers,
In that style
That we say we never part
He was gentle when kissed me
And held me oh so tight
Rain giver is what I called him
And he loved me forever more

Rain giver wash my sorrows
Fill me with your love instead
Let me be happy for awhile
Never let sorrow come again

Soon sorrow left
But came another
Ice cold hands
And dark black heart
It was death that to hold of me
It held me tightly round my body
And took me away from him…

Rain giver wash my body
Put me deep underground
Cry river give up to sorrow
For my love will never let you go.
