Twisted Hope

Twisted Hope

A Poem by LadyRouge
"

Wrote this for a project in my Creative Writing class when I was in high school

"

Brown and twisted,

Tangles within itself,

Evil and wicked yet,

Nothing but beauty is here.

Cool air that brushes up against my cheek,

And only the songs of the birds,

Caressing my ears with their chitter-chatter.

This place inhales LIFE,

And exhales DEATH.

Straight ahead is the evil within

This sacred place.

And there you can find the beauty of it all.

Leaves all around that have once lived upon the limbs,

Now only consume the ground with its afterlife.

These wicked limbs,

Bring the world a new sense of

Hope and doom bound together as one.

Sacred signs mounted to the walls.

Beliefs sitting all around not even caring.

AND . . . . .

Silence.

No more noise,

No more beauty,

No more anything.

A lapse in time leaves the imagination on

A journey to . . . .

Well use your ImAgInAtIoN!

The YiNg and YaNg of everyday life

Takes on a fOrM that people only wish to see.

There were never any answers to

GOOD & EVIL.

There shouldn't be

ANSWERS.
