I listen where I stand Part 1A Poem by Veronica
I listen where I stand
In the desert next to him The elongated noise proves All but lethargic notions of Our love. We embrace as I slowly Drift from where we once kissed. I'm bewildered. I can't seem to understand As my knees begin to buckle. I reach to Him for sustance. I'm lost. Wondering if I can be found. But I can. He holds me. A grip so enticing. He doesn't want to let me go. The scent of a honeycomb Engulfs my nostrils As I inhale once, Then twice. His touch, Makes we weep blood For it's so strong and demanding, But gentle. Where? I'm not to know. Why? I haven't the slightest idea. The noise takes me Far beyond the nature of mortals. © 2011 VeronicaAuthor's Note
