Kenna screamed loudly, running out the hut clutching her jumper to her and holding her unfastened jean up with the other hand. The camp was still quiet, most of the pack preferring to sleep during the day, but one tired man sat by the fire poking it with a stick and feeding it more logs so it didn’t die out. He jumped up alert and alarmed and loped towards her.

“What happened?” he asked her looking apprehensive. Kenna wept noisily clutching him for support.

“He… he tried to… please help me…” he stared at harder. He wasn’t the smartest werewolf in the pack and it took him a while to realise what was happening. Her half unclothed state, the scratches and wounds on her body; Ephraim had tried to rape her. There must be something special about her, like the leader had said, Ephraim never slept with any one.

“Felix!!!!” he shouted loudly to the pack leader. Felix came bounding out his large hut quickly sensing the other mans urgency, followed by a sharp, pointy looking female with silvery hair Kenna assumed was his mate.

“What’s happened,” he asked seriously.

“Ephraim violated the prisoner,” he told Felix pushing Kenna towards him. She stumbled and let him catch her. The other female glared at her jealously. Felix hauled her to her feet and said clearly and sternly,

“Send her to the isolation hut she will be safe there until I decide who is to have her. Put her under guard as well. We will deal with Ephraim now- he never was really one of us.”

He let out a short howl, followed by a deep menacing growl to signal the hunt. They would track Ephraim to the death. Kenna shuddered as she watched the transformed pack leave, through a small high up window. The transformed pack disappeared into the dark woods. Kenna redressed herself and sat down in a dark corner and started to cry. She hoped they didn’t catch him; she hadn’t realised how seriously they would take her accusation. He hadn’t really hurt her and it had been his idea but what if he got hurt? The idea of them killing Ephraim tore her up inside and literal pain racked her body. Kenna whimpered and curled up small.

Snuffling and scratching reached her ears through the overwhelming pain but Kenna couldn’t bring herself to focus on it. A large bang echoed vaguely around her but she ignored it. The door tumbled down splintering around her but Kenna’s pain was so great she didn’t notice the cut she received from the pieces of wood.

“Kenna! Kenna?” Ephraim's urgent voice cut through the darkness surrounding her. “Sweetheart, sweetheart wake up please wake up we need to go.” She felt strong arms gather her to a large comforting body. Kenna could smell him but she couldn’t drag herself out of the darkness. Strong arms turned to long soft fur and Kenna clung to it instinctively. The pain seemed too dissipated as the giant animal she clung too ran off, fast through the forest.
