I started this before I even knew of the The Selection, so I'm sorry if there are similarities. I recently read the book and the only similarity is the beginning and the unwilling girl, but that's the end and the guard I suppose.....but again I didn't know this. The books are completely different. I hope you give this a shot for what it is.
