Prologue

If anyone claims to know everything about the world, DO NOT BELIEVE THEM! There is something sinister in the world beside ours. We are not alone. I repeat, WE ARE NOT ALONE! I only know this from experience. I have witnessed the Other World. There is nothing I wouldn’t give to be ignorant again. I wish that I never knew what else was out there. It haunts me every night in my dreams. Every day when I blink. Any time I close my eyes there is always a reminder of why little kids are scared of the dark.

Knowing what I am about to tell you will help to prepare, should you ever experience what I did when I fell into the Other World.

First thing is, there are rules for the Other World. They’re simple, but if you don’t follow them, it could result in you never being able to return to this world, or worse. It could result in your death.

Rule One: Do not talk to anyone or anything there. No matter how inviting they may seem, they want to hurt you.

Rule Two: Do not accept any food or drinks from anyone or anything. There is a high possibility that it is poisoned. If you do accept something and you are lucky enough that it isn’t poisoned, then you will not be able to return to this world. You are stuck there.

Rule Three: Do not wander off of any set path. They are set for a reason. If you stray from them, things could get very bad.

If you are ever unlucky enough to find yourself in the Other World, then try your damnedest to get out as soon as you can. The easiest way that I have found is to go out the opposite of the way that you came in.

With all of this rambling that I am doing, I should probably get on with my story, so you know the severity of the Other World.
