Over the years of making babies

And tears

Times have been tough

You pulled away but I’d always say

Your gonna need me ….eventually.

I waited and lingered and did without

While you satisfied yourself

And left me with doubts

That things would get better

If I just stuck it out

Almost twenty years gone

And I’ve done all I can

To try and prove to you

That you’re my man

when the end was near

And get close to me

So sad and yet beautiful at the same time. It's so hard when that rift comes into a relationship. Some give, others receive then bail. I like the way it starts out so sad but at the end it sounds like yo got some entitlement, which I'm sure wasn't easy. Such beautiful words

This is so sad, but almost like a new beginning at the same time. We all need someone to need us, to be there, to follow through. Beautifully done.

This was a tough read, seeing basically what has been experienced and what is being said here. There is little that is as painful as being with somebody and needing somebody, because the somebody you have is just not there. The fact that they show up from time to time out of fear when it looks like things are going South, yeah - that is a feeling I know all too well. It is a crappy feeling. You feel like some yo-yo, pulled in and pushed out as needed. At times so easily dismissed while at other times, that pathetic facade of what it once was... this was a tough read. I need a ciggy... maybe a drink.
