Stone

Stone

A Poem by Pointblank

Stone

I am a stone

Unearthed

They walk on me

They see me

I am unimportant

And they continue to tread

Then the rains came

For days it fell

I slipped from my foundation

And tumbled down, down

I landed upon those

Who stood upon me

I saw them and I cried

I cried with hurt

I cried with remorse

I cried because they were important

And it was always I that supported them

Thought provoking. I caught alot undertones here. That feeling of being unseen, unappreciated, but important nonetheless. Then in the blink of an eye you whack them in the heads! "Hey! I am here. Acknowledge me!" Then the grief, remorse and sadness of that sweet revenge. Excellent read!

A strong poem, and I like the way you made the connection between lining life and that of a stone.
