Five friends In Me

Five friends In Me

A Poem by Pointblank

Five friends In Me

She sobs at night when shes alone

She doesnt think you know

I heard her whimpered helpless drone

this sorrow I should bestow

upon your heavy burdened heart

so you can let it go

Happiness doth dwell inside

yet I see her very slim

But anger stays more often

He stirs up the space within

Confusion says-- don't all talk at once

You know she surely hears

all of us that live inside

and harbor all her fears

Are you recalling who I am

Common Rationality

I keep you in that quiet calm

your sure to remember me

So hear me when I say to you

Let that baby cry

then all of us can feel the love

of healing spirits sigh

Sorrow, Happiness, Anger, Confusion, and ? Healing Spirit?,
I really enjoyed this...I am of the opinion that really good poems take 4 or 5 rereads to capture the writer's underlying theme. This is an example of that. That last time through I "really" got it.

I liked the metre and rhyme..however, the first stanza is my favorite. Yes, I have these conversations as well. Very nice!

"happiness doeth dwell inside but I see her very slim" I really like this poem and that line especially. This is very well done.
