Nowhere to run

Nowhere to run

A Poem by Pointblank

Questions from family

Pressure from friends

Interviews and appointments

Seem to never end

I’m not alone in my own bedroom

So I get into the bath

Several knocks on the door

Or they don’t even ask

I’ve got to get away

A little time on my own

I don’t want to talk to people

Not even on the phone

There are people everywhere

Isn’t there somewhere

Where there isn’t anyone

I find Depression gets worse

When there’s nowhere to run

Some people may say that you can only run away for so long before you realize that running does not solve anything, you have to stop - think about it - deal with it. Personally, I have been saving a little money for the past ten years or so, to be able to get enough "Kick Me" signs printed out to slap on all of their backs...

What is genuinely sad, in my not at all humble opinion, is when you find yourself alone standing in front of the mirror and you still want to run away....
