Wife for sale

Wife for sale

A Poem by Pointblank

You don’t look at me anymore

like that

Others do

You don’t care to be close

like that

Others try

You don’t walk with me

Talk with me

Kiss my neck

Or nibble my ears

You say there is no truth to my fears

Others do

I’ve told you I see our end in sight

I’ve asked you to help us find the light

I want to turn your head day and night

I must be a pitiful sight

You turn me away in my search for a thrill

What can I do

When others will

Get the hell out of my head...I mean really! I divorced mine, but then I'm an idiot! It's amazing, I think everyone has felt like this and you depicted it very accurately and I love the flow.
I want to turn your head day and night

I must be a pitiful sight

I hear your plea, and I hope he did too. Don't beat yourself up, in the immortal words of my daughter..."Boy's are icky"

It captures the sense of abandonment in a relationship as it transforms from potentially a marriage to potentially a couple of roommates, and the patience exhibited and extended to the one partner by the other.

What strikes me as so unique about this, is that although written from the female's perspective...it is fitting for the male's as well. Someone shares your hurt. Your feelings are well represented and the reader moves along nicely through the piece.

It is just terrible to be married and lonely.

aww, neck kissing and nibbling of ears, my favorite pastime. Need to do more of it though. You expressed your thoughts and feelings perfectly and i loved the ending. i'll have to read more of your writings-

Time... the heartless thief. This is a sad piece, but oh so common. One has the courage to make it work, to put the fire back, but the other is blind. You can't do it alone, and you watch love slowly die. Don't quit. If perhaps it does end, you will be able to say you were not the one who let it fade. Good luck. Rain..
