Keep it

Keep it

A Poem by Pointblank

If you should go

don’t leave my heart behind

It was yours to find

And is yours to keep

You held it

And filled it

Shared it

Then spilled it

Not worth the body

It dwells in

Not waiting for other loves

Go on and take it with you

I won’t need it’s pain

While your working at it

You can also take my brain

It took a couple of tries, but I got it. Sometimes it is hard to get the gist of the speed the piece should be read at. I kept tripping over the last two lines, having slowed my pace too late. I slowed sooner, and I could see the flow that had always been there. I read it again to be sure, and I am glad that I did.

So eloquently put. I can relate to this in more ways than I'd like to expose, but it's true. Sadly though, for as many times it has happened to me, I think I have done it a few times too!
